UPDATED 10/10/06: Hi everyone! Well, as many of you might have noticed the “Summer 2006” that I gave you in the back of The Wages of Sin for a release of book two has come and gone with nary a sign of a new book. The reason for that is that no matter what feelings I might have to the contrary, apparently I am not actually Super Farm Girl, able to lift fat sheep in a single pull! I injured my back this spring lifting my old-lady-sheep Annabelle who has arthritis and has trouble getting up sometimes and I’ve had a devil of a time getting it well again. I’ve not been able to sit at my computer much at all until just recently. I’m mostly well now, still have a bad day every now and then, but I’m back at my computer and working on the next book for you! It will be out sometime before the end of the year so keep an eye on the website or please feel free to sign up for the mailing list to receive updates.
Thank you all SO VERY MUCH for your patience while I’ve been hurt. It means the world to me to hear from readers who liked The Wages of Sin and I hope you’ll forgive me for making you wait for book two and that you’ll come back for the rest of the series.

What is the title of book two?
At the moment I’m 99% certain that the title will be Grave Sins.
Will the second book be a continuation of the story in The Wages of Sin?
Yes! Grave Sins will be set in Edinburgh thirteen years after The Wages of Sin. My plan is for this series to contain ten Righteous stories and one prequel of Devlin and Justine’s story. After that I may write some spin-offs featuring other characters we meet in this series. The Righteous series will span nearly two hundred years, from 1815 to the present.
Will we meet Aunt Maggie in book two?
Yes. Look for a secondary storyline to introduce Aunt Maggie.
Will the werewolf make an appearance in future books?
Oh definitely! He’ll make an appearance in books two, four, six, nine and ten. As for the other books, I’ll have to wait and see if he wants to show his face in those as well and if the plot will support him being there. I’m not going to tell you who he is but you’re gonna love it when you find out!

I have some great news to share today! This is a copy of the newsletter that I just sent out to everyone who has signed up. If you didn’t get your copy please e-mail me with an updated address.
Hello everyone!
I hope this e-mail finds everyone well and enjoying the summer. I have some wonderful news to share! I’ve just accepted a three-book deal (don’t worry, there are more than three– that’s just a start) with Rose Hilliard at St. Martin’s Press!! I am SO excited! I knew if I was patient that someone would come along who loves this book as much as we do. Rose is wonderful and I really look forward to working with her on the rest of this series. I’ll let you all know when we have a re-release date for Wages of Sin and the second book should be out about six months after that. I was really pleased that they want to publish them in six month intervals. I know you’ve all waited so long for book #2 and I, myself, hate waiting a year between author releases. So we are finally rolling with this series and I want to thank all of you so much for hanging in there with me! This is truly a dream come true for me. I’ll send out an update as soon as I have some new information to share!
Have a great weekend!
Jenna

Hello Friends!
I hope the holidays were wonderful for each and every one of you. For me, the last week has been very exciting! I have some good news and some bad news for you all.
The bad news first: the sequel to The Wages of Sin is not going to be forthcoming in the near future.
HOWEVER, the good news is that today I signed a contract with agent Miriam Kriss at the Irene Goodman Agency!!
I am looking forward to working with her after the first of the year to find a publishing house for my books. While that temporarily puts the second book on hold (again…. so sorry guys!) the good part is that when it is released it’ll be easier to find and a whole lot cheaper to buy, as will the rest of the books in the series. I am so thankful to you all for purchasing The Wages of Sin at the self-published price (I know it was steep, even though it was as cheap as I could make it) and I am hopeful that you will be able to buy the rest of the series at a more traditional price. Keep your self-published copies though! Who knows, if things go well for me they may be worth something one day! Also, if you have any friends who want to read it any time in the near future you might advise them to go ahead and order it now. I’m sure that I will soon have to pull it in order to pursue this new path.
I appreciate you all so much for taking a chance on an unknown, self-published author. If it weren’t for the good reviews and word of mouth, The Wages of Sin might not have come to Ms. Kriss’s attention and I might not have been offered this wonderful opportunity. When I speak with her again after the first of the year I’ll ask her if it would be acceptable for me to put the first couple chapters of Grave Sins on the website as a thank-you.
Wish me luck and I sincerely hope that you’ll continue to follow Cin and Michael’s story through the rest of the Righteous series. I’ll be sure and let you know when we find a publishing house that’ll make that a reality for us all!
All my best wishes to you~
Jenna
